The dress consist of a white shirt
and a blue sarafan (a sleeveless dress).
Head of the doll is ornated with a kokoshnik.
Kokoshnik was a typical hat for the girls in
Russia untill the beginning of the 20 century.

15th century.The dress trimmed with
fur was worn in the summer by
16 degrees Centigrade. At the beginning
the sleeves of dress had no openings
and it took up to 20 minutes for the woman
to roll her sleeves up. It was difficult in these
conditions to do the housework.
Hence, the russian saying:
"To work with the sleeves down"
meaning a sloppy work.
